Due to the fantastic response to our first post, we have included some more snakes found locally in the Blue Mountains area. Please make sure to ‘like’ our page for more informative posts relating to bushfire and our natural environment of the Blue Mountains.
Some of these snakes are mildly venomous, although, with the exception of the Small-eyed Snake they are not considered dangerous. The lower 4 pictures are smaller snakes growing to less than 1 metre. The Yellow-faced Whip and Golden-crowned Snakes are often mistaken for young Eastern Brown Snake…these are timid snakes, with a more nocturnal nature. Over the fire season we will be posting general information to assist with the preparedness of your home. If there is anything you would like information on let us know and we will try to schedule it in. Thank you again to our Facebook community for the ongoing support.
