FYI – Santa will be at Summerhayes Park carpark this afternoon!!!! He will be there from 330pm. So if you miss him at home please come out then and grab a photo! But if Santa’s little helpers get a Incident Call this may have to be cancelled. Make sure you bring your camera!!

Santa and his helpers are on their way to Yellow Rock, Hawkesbury Heights and Huntley Grange. He will be there in about 30 minutes! Listen for the siren.

Today Winmalee Pumper and Springwood Fire & Rescue investigated a smoke sighting, down Whitecross Rd, Winmalee. Crews investigated and found a nil result. All vehicles have returned to their respective stations.

The strike team and crew from Winmalee arrived home safely late last night after their 12 hour deployment to the fire near Colo. Winmalee’s crew utilised Glenbrook/Lapstone RFB’s cat 1 and conducted back burning operations into the late night. Further Blue Mountains RFS resources have again been committed today to this fire.

Today, Winmalee PC and a crew of 5 have joined other Blue Mountains RFS units and formed a strike team. This strike team is heading to the Terraborra North Fire located in the Hawkesbury district. There is a large smoke column being put up by this fire and is visible from the Mountains.

FYI – Winmalee units have responded to and investigated a smoke sighting around Sunset bvd, Winmalee. The smoke is coming from a bush fire in the Colo Heights area. There are no fires burning in the Blue Mts.

FYI Only – Winmalee and the surrounds are currently being affected by a large blackout. Unknown times to restore.
