Winmalee Rural Fire Brigade added 2 new photos.
Yesterday saw the end of a era for Winmalee Rural Fire Brigades hot fire training cell. This 40ft shipping container was donated 17 years ago, and brigade members put considerable time and effort into it, when commissioned it had doors, windows, hot fire area and a BA search & rescue maze.
It has seen many members train and be assessed in the areas of Structural firefighting, and other related Village Roles.
It’s a end of a era but also a beginning of a new one! We are currently sourcing 2x 40ft containers (new/used) to establish a new and more modern training facility, to allow us to maintain a high degree of training. So if anyone has any contacts in the container area, we would love to hear from you.
We would also like to thank St Columba’s High school for their continual support, and allowing us to use their property for our training.
