Winmalee Rural Fire Brigade added 4 new photos.
Yesterday symbolized the community spirt of Yellow Rock and Winmalee residents, nearly 2 1/2years on from the horrific 2013 bushfires, as Winmalee Rural Fire Brigade hosted the official opening of its new satellite Fire Station on Singles Ridge Road at Yellow Rock.
The Hon David Elliott MP, Federal member Louise Markus MP, State Member Trish Doyle, Blue Mountains Mayor Mark Greenhill(OAM), NSW RFS Assistant Commissioner Mr Rob Rogers, were all in attendance , as well as several hundred NSWRFS personnel and local community members to witness the official opening.
Dignitaries spoke about the challenges faced since the fires & the dedication needed to rebuild this station from the ground up, the challenges faced and the determination which has resulted in this modern new station.
